Now, I will tell you that for the next 30 minutes or so, we're going to be talking about a plant I absolutely am passionate about, and that is cannabis.

00;00;38;18 - 00;00;59;11

Gary Johnston

Now, I will tell you, before we get too much further, this podcast is intended for those of the legal consumption age in your jurisdiction and is intended purely for entertainment and perhaps educational purposes. You should always consume your cannabis responsibly. In this episode 214, we're going to talk about a fight in a cannabis boardroom that's been going on.

00;00;59;13 - 00;01;30;00

Gary Johnston

The science of aromas in cannabis. We look at A.I. lies in the news. The focus shift for micros and craft producers, and look at men's mental health and well-being. We start on Cultivar Corner, brought to you by Up in Smoke. We go to local to colonias Terra Labs for cherry AK 47, live resin batter. Delicious. All of that and more on episode 214 of the Cannabis potcast.

00;01;30;02 - 00;01;48;12

Gary Johnston

Gary Johnston

And if you'd like to help, well, you can go to buy me a coffee.com/cannabis potcast if you like what you hear. And if you're so inclined, buy me a Dougie. Now, I wanted to give you a bit of an update because as I know you know that I had a stroke, a couple of months ago, and it was back at the end of March, I believe.

00;02;06;03 - 00;02;24;08

Gary Johnston

And there were some troubles and some issues, had some speech issues, and I have a little bit of mobility on my right hand. It kind of flopped on me once in a while. My recovery has been good so far. I've handled up much of most of those speech issues that had been causing me problems I've been dealing with.

00;02;24;10 - 00;02;46;11

Gary Johnston

Everything else is good. My blood work is right on the money. I'm real happy about that. Unfortunately, my cancer is still carried on, so I'm going to be carrying on with my chemo for another six months, which I'm not terribly happy about, but but I guess was was a result of the fact that I had a stroke while I was going through cancer at the same time.

00;02;46;14 - 00;03;05;16

Gary Johnston

But I will tell you as well, one of the things on a positive note that I think is moving really well. I made the move to a mediterranean diet. I've had many of you tell me that that's where I should go. I should eat better. And that was probably why I was having so many issues along that line.

00;03;05;18 - 00;03;25;21

Gary Johnston

I've made that change, and in fact, I've lost about 6 pounds over the last week or ten days. So I'm pretty pleased by that. I'm feeling really good. I am able to smoke cannabis again. As you know, I've picked up the weed and we're doing that in cultivar Corner, so I don't have to do the edibles because none of those are very effective for me.

00;03;25;23 - 00;03;49;13

Gary Johnston

So I we'll continue to do the weed. So I am really happy about how my life has changed and how it has progressed over the last two months or so. And now we are getting ready to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and we're having a big party in our backyard later in month. That's going to be fun. There's an update on Gary, and we go to the outskirts here for our next story.

00;03;49;13 - 00;04;16;07

Gary Johnston

And this is about the whole deal with Med Farm and all the problems they had with their recent board elections. Both sides declare victory in the Bitter Media Farm Board election. Barrie, Ontario based Meta Farm Labs was claiming victory for its slate of candidates after a hotly disputed vote for the company's board of directors. Minority shareholder Apollo Capital had also claimed victory before the vote was counted on June 16th.

00;04;16;09 - 00;04;40;22

Gary Johnston

Apollo accused the med farm site of legal failures in its mailings to shareholders, which nullified all the green proxy votes that indicated support for the Meta Farm slate. Gold's proxies indicated support for the Apollo slate, given that Meta Farm did not restart the election process and re mail complaint materials to all shareholders at least 21 days in advance to the annual meeting, as clearly required under securities law.

00;04;40;24 - 00;05;09;17

Gary Johnston

All proxies submitted on the green proxy card or voting instruction form were illegally solicited and must lawfully be declared invalid and discarded by meeting Chair Chris Hollick. Apollo Capital's Gould proxies are therefore the only valid proxies on record, and Apollo press release said. Wait a minute, said Min Farm in a news release. It quickly followed. Mint farm wishes to assure its shareholders that, as the meeting has not yet taken place, the results are not yet available.

00;05;09;19 - 00;05;33;29

Gary Johnston

Meta farm will announce the final results of the meeting in the ordinary course, as required by law and the rules of the Toronto Stock Exchange. The next day, Meadow Farm issued a release claiming its slate had won. Chris Hallock, Emily Jamieson, John Maitland, Dave Pittock, Shelly Pot, Keith Stratton and Chris Chaves all received 143 to 144 million votes.

00;05;34;02 - 00;06;08;22

Gary Johnston

Jamieson and Medlin are new to the board. The late John Fowler, Alan D Lewis, David Lentini, Dimitrios Mallows, Regan McGee and Scott Walters all received a little more than 51 million votes and were not elected. A total of 146 shareholders, holding an aggregate of 210,726,733 common shares voted. They represented 50.76% of Meadow Farm shares. The company has traded a series of bitter accusations before the vote in news releases.

00;06;08;22 - 00;06;26;28

Gary Johnston

Apollo said Meta Farm is being incompetently managed. Its share price is near zero, and the company will run out of money by the end of the year. Meta farms has a turnaround plan has worked wonders. The company is growing. The bottom line is good now, and the Apollo slate was led by people who know nothing about the medical cannabis business.

00;06;27;00 - 00;06;38;27

Gary Johnston

Meta farms announcement of the results may not be the end of the story, and I think that may be right. These two differing partners are going to keep differing.

00;06;38;29 - 00;06;43;03

Ian

The cannabis infused studio in the clouds. This is the cannabis potcast.

00;06;43;05 - 00;07;10;10

Gary Johnston

And we're picking this story up from Strack and Ecom, written by Jonathan Hills. With excise taxes, margins shrinking and competition increasingly both domestically and abroad. Canadian craft and micro cannabis producers are being forced to rethink what it means to survive and thrive. For many, staying profitable in today's turbulent cannabis market isn't about reinventing the wheel. It's about adapting quickly and getting strategic.

00;07;10;12 - 00;07;37;08

Gary Johnston

When you're talking about what's getting the members of our industry on the production side through to whatever these greener pastures are, it's not so much innovation in a traditional sense. It's more switching markets, said Walker Payton, chief commercial officer at Woody Nelson. Patton explained that the export market has become a primary focus for many in the craft and micro category, with nearly all the companies he knows trying to get the majority of their product outside the domestic landscape.

00;07;37;10 - 00;08;02;05

Gary Johnston

This is due to the higher prices they can get abroad, as well as lower taxes. Toby Sillitoe, a medicinal cannabis industry consultant in England, concurred in a recent striking article on the subject. Over the last year, Sillitoe has seen an uptick in high quality products, especially from Kraft and Micro Growers in B.C.. This indicates a shift in market focus from high THC to a greater emphasis on turbines.

00;08;02;08 - 00;08;28;07

Gary Johnston

Interestingly, Woody Nelson is taking a slightly different route. We've had a lot of commercial success in the Canadian market, Paton said. If you go based on head said Woody Nelson sells more premium flour in B.C. and Ontario than any other premium brand in Canada. Because of this strong domestic presence, they haven't felt the same urgency to export. Though that's changing with their first export of 100kg to Australia next month.

00;08;28;10 - 00;08;47;25

Gary Johnston

What do you. Nelson has also found a creative solution to its supply challenges. Around this time last year, we didn't have enough flour, said Patton. We had orders that we couldn't fill from wholesalers like the Ozarks to bridge the gap. They began working with other premium cultivators in the Kootenay and selling that flour under the Woody Nelson label.

00;08;47;27 - 00;09;11;29

Gary Johnston

We've been doing that for the last year and it's going well. In Ontario, the number one selling premium skew right now is our 14 gram rotating country club. Patton emphasized the importance of staying agile in product offerings. We've seen great products fall out of favor and effectively be delisted. We realize that the new product, Halo, moves a lot of sales, and we have launched probably about 50 products in the last 12 months.

00;09;12;01 - 00;09;32;21

Gary Johnston

Dylan King, founder and CEO of Pistil in Paris, echoed the need for bold thinking, especially when it comes to high end SKUs. Our hash holes are the most premium product in Canada, in my opinion, King said, referring to their infused pre-rolls made with full melt live rosin and premium flour. The product's premium feel doesn't end with a flower.

00;09;32;21 - 00;09;52;04

Gary Johnston

It includes a reusable 12 millimeter glass tip and a custom cigar band. Bissell in Paris also took a proactive approach to packaging innovation. We were the first to come up with a black glass jar with a see through bottom with a magnifying glass in it, said King. My supplier and I were working on the See-Through bottom a year ago.

00;09;52;07 - 00;10;12;26

Gary Johnston

Health Canada, just that changed the way we could package about three months ago, but we were dropping this regardless. We knew changes were coming to the way we could package, but I took a chance and invested that approach as sometimes meant pushing boundaries. Health Canada has seen some stuff on my social media and even on my website, and they have warned me 3 or 4 times now, King noted.

00;10;12;29 - 00;10;48;15

Gary Johnston

Beyond packaging and product innovation, many micro and craft producers are carving out new channels for growth. One notable example is the sale of clones through Farmgate Retail in Ontario. Producers like Horgan, in partnership with Kingston Cannabis and Level Up Infusions, have started offering live cannabis clones directly to consumers. As Daniel Torres of Tau can explain to reckon, the project's launch involved a careful selection of genetics such as the tire fire cultivar, which was rigorously tested for pest and pathogens to ensure a viable experience for home growers.

00;10;48;18 - 00;11;14;28

Gary Johnston

This kind of direct to consumer genetics play opens up new revenue and broad engagement opportunities for small scale cultivators. Environmental innovation is another area where craft operators are taking the lead. The Purple Bean Recycling Initiative, developed by Purple Hills, collects used cannabis packaging from over a thousand retail locations across Ontario, with more than 20,000 pounds of waste diverted from landfills and repurposed.

00;11;15;06 - 00;11;48;21

Gary Johnston

The program highlights how even resource limited producers can drive meaningful change. Other brands, such as Kothari, are experimenting with biodegradable materials, opting for backyard compostable biopolymers to reduce packaging waste. These sustainability efforts may not be required by regulation, but they are building loyalty among increasingly eco conscious consumers. As the Canadian cannabis landscape continues to shift, micro and craft producers are showing that while scale and capital may be limited.

00;11;48;23 - 00;12;14;13

Gary Johnston

Creativity, collaboration and courage are proving to be powerful tools for staying competitive by adapting to market pressures through thoughtful partnerships, product reinvention and forward thinking environmental and retail strategies. Many are not just surviving. They're setting a new standard for resilience in the cannabis industry. And that's some good news.

00;12;14;15 - 00;12;22;16

Gary Johnston

We are picking the story up from the outskirts. It's about Aurora having I written stories.

00;12;22;19 - 00;12;22;27

Speaker 2

That.

00;12;22;27 - 00;12;46;20

Gary Johnston

They don't say are correct, beware of cannabis news or any news for that matter generated by artificial intelligence. Edmonton based Aurora cannabis is warning the news stories, claiming it has made a pair of overseas acquisitions are false. The erroneous articles posted on Investing.com stated they were generated with the support of AI and reviewed by an editor. Aurora says in a news release.

00;12;46;26 - 00;13;14;28

Gary Johnston

The first story reported Aurora had agreed to acquire New Zealand based Metals Therapeutics later in the day. On June 18th, 2025. A second article was posted on Investing.com that incorrectly states that Aurora has entered into a strategic partnership with metaphoric Mgmt for distribution of medical cannabis in Germany and other EU markets already set. The company categorically denies both Investing.com articles.

00;13;15;01 - 00;13;41;25

Gary Johnston

Aurora has not entered into any such agreements. More and more media outlets are using artificial intelligence to generate basic news stories, with concerns about AI use being raised by journalists and groups that represent them. The original stories have been removed from the Investing.com website. Aurora's press releases denying those stories are posted on the site. Aurora released year end quarterly financial reports on June 18th and will dig into those in the new future.

00;13;41;27 - 00;13;46;04

Gary Johnston

There you go. I boy, do we need to be worried about.

00;13;46;05 - 00;13;52;00

Speaker 2

I did see CBD to be profile. What's it?

00;13;52;00 - 00;13;52;20

Ian

Me?

00;13;52;20 - 00;13;56;11

Speaker 2

Oh please explain to me. Go to the.

00;13;56;13 - 00;14;02;25

Unknown

Go. Go to local I love you. Yeah. Go to, go to.

00;14;02;25 - 00;14;06;23

Speaker 2

Please explain the stuff to me.

00;14;06;25 - 00;14;26;18

Gary Johnston

Welcome to Cultivar Corner. Brought to you by Up in Smoke at 258 West Broadway in Vancouver and online at It's Up and smoke.com. Remember, if you were 19 years of age or older in BC, you can order something from the online menu. And if you live in Vancouver, you can order by 2 p.m. and have it delivered by e-scooter.

00;14;26;25 - 00;14;52;00

Gary Johnston

It's pretty cool. I'm also going to talk about what kind of service you get from Matt with the mail order, and that's pretty cool as well. But today we are looking at are you ready cherry AK 47 live Resin batter. That's right. You heard me say live resin batter. So it's not a rosin. This is not been pressed.

00;14;52;02 - 00;15;20;07

Gary Johnston

It is through a butane process that is obtained, offers a robust and flavorful experience with its rich cherry aroma and potent effects extracted fresh for superior quality, this concentrate provides a smooth, intense high that's perfect for dabbing. Enjoy the perfect blend of flavor and strength with every use. All and the all. The smell of those hairpins is a wonderful thing.

00;15;20;09 - 00;15;22;07

Speaker 2

Oh, it is so tasty.

00;15;22;07 - 00;15;52;10

Gary Johnston

It's. Very sweet. So it's a cherry AK 47 sativa dominant. A THC is sitting at 76.8%. Is that when I'm sitting at it is 77.4 in fact is what my THC is at. So that's good. That's in a pack that can punch a punch, pack a punch. Let's talk about what better is because you might not know better.

00;15;52;13 - 00;15;59;17

Gary Johnston

Also called batter is a cannabis concentrate named for its malleable consistency that resembles frosting or a.

00;15;59;17 - 00;16;01;01

Speaker 2

Thick cake batter.

00;16;01;08 - 00;16;33;07

Gary Johnston

And I can kind of see that high quality batter butter is often golden or blond in color. And yes, I am definitely got some golden on my batter. I love batter because it's so easy to work with. Why are there so many spellings to batter? Batter when it means the same thing? Batter butter is a cannabis concentrate made from a chemical solvent, like butane or propane, that has been agitated during extraction and named for its resemblance to frosting or a cake batter.

00;16;33;10 - 00;16;57;02

Gary Johnston

It encompasses a range of consistencies, ranging from a viscous sauce to a wet crumble. Depending on the nuances of the extraction process, better and better are alternative spellings for the same concentrate. It all depends on personal preference. It can also be called butter, which has been around since the 1990s, popularized by Canadian extraction artist Butter King, who brought it into the dispensary space.

00;16;57;04 - 00;17;04;23

Gary Johnston

Now you know what it's called and what it is. And now we're going to get some into my.

00;17;04;26 - 00;17;05;05

Speaker 2

Puff.

00;17;05;07 - 00;17;09;07

Gary Johnston

Co proxy. Oh, there's a nice punch right.

00;17;09;07 - 00;17;10;22

Speaker 2

There.

00;17;10;25 - 00;17;12;19

Gary Johnston

Into my proxy. There it.

00;17;12;19 - 00;17;13;20

Speaker 2

Is.

00;17;13;23 - 00;17;37;12

Gary Johnston

Let's get some flame of what. Let's not flame. There is no fire on this. So this is a live resin which means that is from a butane or extraction process. So that is not rosin from the hash perspective like we were talking about before. So I'm going to give this some punch. We're going to take it up to temperature.

00;17;37;12 - 00;17;45;22

Gary Johnston

You're starting down at the blue with the lowest temperature. And we are going to give try to cherry AK 47.

00;17;45;25 - 00;17;47;01

Speaker 2

Live.

00;17;47;03 - 00;18;14;17

Gary Johnston

Resin batter nice from Terra Labs are a local company. They do their stuff in Keloland. They've been doing some really nice stuff. Really like the product that they're putting out. We're going to give it a go and see how it tastes, see what it makes us feel like, and then we're going to take it out. And here we are I'm at temperature and here it goes.

00;18;14;20 - 00;18;18;13

Speaker 2

Oh, my.

00;18;18;16 - 00;18;35;15

Gary Johnston

I'm trying to see if they give me any turbines or anything like that to go with, and I don't seeing any I don't see any turbines listed on this. Definitely has some turbines in it though. The smell is overwhelming. As soon as you open up this little package.

00;18;35;17 - 00;18;36;26

Speaker 2

Oh.

00;18;36;28 - 00;18;43;11

Gary Johnston

And speaking of overwhelming, my my throat might have been overwhelmed.

00;18;43;13 - 00;19;07;18

Gary Johnston

Oh, we're going to give it a good try, though, and going to get some more on, the temperature. So we're going to go to the second raising of my temperature. We're going up to green. And that's going to get us to where we'll get more of the cherry AK 47 live resin. Here we go.

00;19;07;21 - 00;19;09;19

Speaker 2

Oh that's better.

00;19;09;22 - 00;19;19;02

Gary Johnston

Are really, really nice. What can I tell you about the flavors that I'm feeling?

00;19;19;04 - 00;19;34;13

Gary Johnston

Bit of cherry. There is a bit of cherry on the tip of that. That may be where I'm getting some of my cherry aroma and my potent effects.

00;19;34;15 - 00;19;39;02

Speaker 2

Oh, my my my.

00;19;39;05 - 00;19;42;25

Gary Johnston

I just love smoking weed. And I love doing cult work.

00;19;42;25 - 00;19;44;11

Speaker 2

Work.

00;19;44;13 - 00;19;52;19

Gary Johnston

It is so much fun for me.

00;19;52;21 - 00;20;00;25

Gary Johnston

While we're talking about it, let me tell you about the great service that I have gotten from Matt and Sarah. It's up in smoke with their mail order deliveries.

00;20;00;27 - 00;20;02;28

Speaker 2

Boy, they are fast.

00;20;03;00 - 00;20;24;24

Gary Johnston

Almost every time I've ordered something and it is arrived in my mailbox the next morning. I don't know how he does it, but he does it and he puts it in and in cold packs. So my concentrates are coming nice and cold. My weed is coming as it would in their typical packaging. I'm really happy with what they're doing.

00;20;24;28 - 00;20;48;11

Gary Johnston

They are so good at getting the packages in the mail and out the door, and then into my mailbox. The next morning they are doing absolutely fabulous. So remember, Cultivar Corner is brought to you by Up in Smoke at 258 West Broadway in Vancouver. And online it it's up in smoke.com. You can go there if you are 19 years of age or older in BC, you can order some of the menu.

00;20;48;11 - 00;21;05;18

Gary Johnston

And if you live in Vancouver, you can order by 2 p.m. and have it delivered by e-scooter. And get some more of that great service from Matt and Sarah. It's up in smoke. Oh, here's some more of a cherry AK 47.

00;21;05;21 - 00;21;21;00

Gary Johnston

Okay, now I can tell you. And now I can tell you where I'm going. This is a sativa. So it is feeling pretty good on me. I'm getting some really nice buzz.

00;21;21;03 - 00;21;32;15

Gary Johnston

Definitely up into my head. I got a nice little head space. I got a head high. It is working its way through my body. Or I'm just loving the way it feels.

00;21;32;17 - 00;21;34;05

Speaker 2

00;21;34;07 - 00;21;49;22

Gary Johnston

And this is pretty heavy from AK 47 with the rosin going through my particle proxy 77.4% THC, and it's knocking on my CB1 receptors right now and it's saying, hey.

00;21;49;24 - 00;21;50;12

Speaker 2

Hey.

00;21;50;15 - 00;21;52;23

Gary Johnston

Are you ready to get high?

00;21;52;26 - 00;21;54;10

Speaker 2

Yes, I think I.

00;21;54;10 - 00;21;55;09

Gary Johnston

Am ready to get.

00;21;55;10 - 00;21;56;26

Speaker 2

High.

00;21;56;28 - 00;22;00;25

Gary Johnston

Okay. I achieved it.

00;22;00;27 - 00;22;05;29

Speaker 2

Oh, that is really nice.

00;22;06;02 - 00;22;24;02

Gary Johnston

What can I say? Another concentrate in my particle proxy. And another morning where I am getting an incredible buzz to start my day. I love it, and when I come back, after a little bit of a resonance inside my brain.

00;22;24;05 - 00;22;27;11

Speaker 2

It has resolved into more.

00;22;27;14 - 00;22;28;10

Gary Johnston

I got really.

00;22;28;10 - 00;22;30;05

Sharing stories about good weed while trying good weed. This is the cannabis potcast.

00;22;50;19 - 00;23;23;07

Gary Johnston

And for this story we're going to weed maps.com. And it's all about new research on breeding cannabis for unique aroma. The cannabis market is continuously evolving with the emergence of new varieties. The creation of a new cultivar or strain involves the selective breeding parents, trained with the goal of discovering unique traits in the offspring. Breeders typically cross two desirable varieties and assess the resulting plant based on a range of observable traits such as bud color, plant size, leaf shape, and aroma.

00;23;23;10 - 00;23;49;19

Gary Johnston

This process of identifying distinctive varieties or phenotypes based on their physical and olfactory characteristics is known as fino hunting. However, with the recent advances in cannabis science, the art of fino hunting may evolve into a scientific journey of aroma exploration and quantification, beginning an era of breeding for diverse aromatic compounds or chemo hunting to supplement other fino hunting practices.

00;23;49;22 - 00;24;14;29

Gary Johnston

The unique aroma of cannabis is typically attributed to the plant's chirping profile, with testing labs reporting anywhere from 3 to 20 turbines that are present in the plant. However, a plant's aroma is a diverse blend of smelly compounds, including the terpene, as well as other small organic molecules. Breeders and cannabis enthusiasts have long recognized that there is more to cannabis aroma than simply chirping.

00;24;15;02 - 00;24;48;06

Gary Johnston

This was clear when smelling exotic varieties that exhibit more complex scents, such as gassy, skunky, poopy, or tropical notes, these nuanced aromas are the result of a different class of compounds identified in 2023 by abstract text, known as flavorings. Flavorings differ from terpenes in that they are constructed by the plant using different biochemical pathways and building blocks, making them a unique class of aromatic molecules that contribute significantly to cannabis overall.

00;24;48;06 - 00;25;11;22

Aroma. True beans act more as the blueprint for the smell of the base than flavor, and add the pizzazz or the unique notes that differentiate it from other cultivars and make you take that second sniff. New research by Abstract Tech has added to our understanding of flavors, especially in how the aromatic traits of the parent are distributed from parent plants to offspring.

00;25;11;25 - 00;25;35;29

Gary Johnston

In this study, researchers cultivated a strain called starburst 36, noted for its complex sweet aroma to determine the distribution of smell in the next generation. They then grew the resulting plants equitably from seed produced ice hash rosin, and analyzed the chemistry of the final product, as well as presented the hash to a panel of people to describe and rate the smells.

00;25;36;01 - 00;26;02;14

Gary Johnston

The panel participants who evaluated the smell of the daughter crosses are very important because the human nose can pick up on flavor and molecules, whereas the routine testing labs cannot. You'll often hear the saying the nose, nose in cannabis, meaning to trust your nose to find the varieties that work for best for you. The nose has over 400 smell receptors and can ascertain small differences in complex aroma cocktails.

00;26;02;16 - 00;26;33;07

Gary Johnston

The researchers used a combined approach of sensitive, state of the art analytical machines, combined with the power of the human nose. Interestingly, in this study, both human sensory tests and chemical analysis revealed significant differences in the aroma profile among the daughter plant. Despite the phenotypes having similar tripping profiles, the human sensory panel detected notable distinctions in aroma, including a pronounced cheesy scent in some plants which was absent in others.

00;26;33;10 - 00;26;57;08

Gary Johnston

This cheesy note led to the identification for the first time in Cannabis Flower, a free fatty acids like those found in blue cheese. They were present in some, but not all, of the daughter plants. Another key difference was the level of sweetness perceived by the sensory panel. The variety smelled the sweetest, had the highest level of specific type of flavor, and called Tropicana sulfur compounds.

00;26;57;11 - 00;27;23;18

Gary Johnston

These THC C's are so pungent and sweet smelling that they can often overpower other scent in the plant, especially if the other aromatic compounds are at low levels. The researchers found an inverse relationship between these cheeks and another savory flavor, and called indole. It appears that the more indole is produced, the lesser presence of THC C's there is.

00;27;23;20 - 00;27;51;04

Gary Johnston

This is important because breeders want to showcase other smells from the plant. Indole could be a chemical marker for low taxes and therefore express some of the more unique aromas. This research has significant implications for cannabis breeders. Highlighting the true pain testing alone is not sufficient to detect unique aromatic notes in exotic cannabis varieties. Due to the recent discovery of these compounds and the lack of standardized testing methods.

00;27;51;07 - 00;28;14;20

Gary Johnston

Flavor lines are not currently analyzed in cannabis compliance testing laboratories. Therefore, breeders need to rely on their nose for detection, resulting in a downed stream of thanks. For end users, especially those shopping in states where they can't smell the product before they buy it. The human nose can pick up on low levels of smelly flavor and compounds that play a crucial role in the complex picture of aroma.

00;28;14;27 - 00;28;47;06

Gary Johnston

However, the nose can't quantify the levels of smell. Understanding the complexity, concentration, and distribution of aroma may allow breeders to take fino hunting to the next level and implement another layer beyond what we can see from a plant. They can more adequately evaluate the chemistry of smell or chemo, hunt for more unique cannabis varieties. And that's an excellent article from Weed Match.com about flavorings and how they are affecting the odor of cannabis.

And for this story, we are going to the consumer.com and we're talking about men's health and mental wellness. Let's find out the importance of men's health by focusing on the vital connection between mental and physical well-being by incorporating cannabinoids. We can explore their potential as powerful tools for promoting health, wellness, and healing, paving the way for a stronger, healthier future.

00;29;12;07 - 00;29;49;04

Gary Johnston

With growing awareness around the globe. Cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG, and CBN are gaining recognition for their potential benefits from supporting mental health and reducing reliance on alcohol, especially with THC infused beverages, to promoting overall wellness. These cannabinoid compounds are becoming valuable allies in improving men's health throughout every stage of life. The role of tetrahydrocannabinol and responsible cannabis use THC, the well known psychoactive compound in cannabis, is celebrated for its mind altering effects and its remarkable versatility.

00;29;49;07 - 00;30;20;16

Gary Johnston

It interacts with the cannabinoid receptors throughout the body, triggering a range of complex biological processes that influence the mind, body, and emotions. As the primary cannabinoid responsible for both the therapeutic benefits and psychoactive effects of cannabis, THC has been the focus of extensive scientific research. While unique to cannabis, trace amounts of THC can also be found in hemp and are even made into the synthetic version of THC in the pharmaceutical drug marinol.

00;30;20;18 - 00;30;54;23

Gary Johnston

However, a responsible use of THC is crucial for maintaining overall well-being for all consumers. Overconsumption of high THC products over time can lead to receptor downregulation, hormonal imbalances, increased tolerance, requiring higher doses to achieve the same effect, and potential mental health challenges such as heightened anxiety or an increased risk of depression. Practicing mindful consumption and adhering to proper dosing can help ensure a safe, more balanced experience when it comes to THC.

00;30;54;26 - 00;31;23;19

Gary Johnston

Sometimes less truly is more. The role of CBD to help with responsible cannabis use, balancing THC with CBD and some of the minor cannabinoids offers notable benefits and can set people up for long term success in using cannabinoids as medicine or a health and wellness tool. CBD can mitigate some of tat's potential side effects, such as anxiety and paranoia, while enhancing relaxation and therapeutic effects.

00;31;23;22 - 00;32;05;26

Gary Johnston

CBD is a promiscuous and versatile molecule interacting with over 70 receptors throughout the body, helping to regulate complex biological processes affecting the body, mind, and emotions. It works to temper THC psycho activity by modulating receptor activity without diminishing its medicinal benefits. Additionally, CBD inhibits the enzyme FH, which increases levels of anandamide, our body's own natural internal endogenous cannabinoid, allowing it to activate CB1 and CB2 receptors more effectively, promoting balance and wellbeing or systemic homeostasis.

00;32;05;28 - 00;32;36;00

Gary Johnston

The endocannabinoid system, the key to balance the endocannabinoid system, or easy as, is central to the health benefits associated with cannabis. This complex network of receptors is crucial for regulating essential functions like sleep, stress, inflammation, mood, appetite, and cognition. Phytochemical oils from cannabis closely resemble the body's natural endocannabinoids, interacting with the ax to support, balance and enhance the body's ability to manage everyday stressors.

00;32;36;02 - 00;33;10;12

Gary Johnston

As the body's largest natural regulatory system, the X governs all 11 organ systems the immune system and neurotransmitter signaling. Working tirelessly to maintain equilibrium and balance among all systems at the same time. As easy as researcher Vincenzo de Marzo famously put it, eat, sleep, relax, forget and protect. The statement emphasizes the easy as vital role in promoting balance and supporting health across all physiological systems.

00;33;10;14 - 00;33;46;10

Gary Johnston

Professor DiMarzio theorized that the endocannabinoid system plays a crucial role in stress recovery, serving as a survival mechanism. The system, a network of receptors and molecules spread throughout the body, is integral to maintaining balance across our physiological processes. By modulating the atomic nervous system, endocannabinoids help regulate key functions such as mood, memory, appetite, pain, and sleep. The concept of eat, sleep, relax, forget and protect captures the essence of how the ECS supports and sustains overall health and well-being.

00;33;46;12 - 00;34;10;08
